They still remember me

After I scraped the bottom of the barrel finding relatives on Facebook, I started searching for some of my old classmates (the ones that weren't as mean to me in school of course). Five of them acknowledged me and had directly answered my friend requests. Two of them have already contacted me on Facebook too. Son of a gun! One girl that I used to go to school with recognized me in one of the pictures my sister had in one of her Faebook albums, and she asked my sister how I was doing. Anyway, my sister told me about the Facebook group she found that focused on our old (now defunct) high school, and I wasted no time joining it. Finding all of these classmates on facebook kind of makes me feel like a kid again. Although, quite a bit of my childhood wasn't as rosy, there are still plenty of happy memories that I cherish. Plus, I'm happy to know that quite a few of my classmates haven't forgotten me just like I haven't forgotten many of them. I just wonder who I'll encounter on Facebook next.

Booted and blue-jeaned

Earlier this week I mentioned how my Dad found me a couple of new pairs of blue jeans. Well, I still can't get past how good these jeans look or how comfortable they are to wear. Lately, I can't resist snapping pictures everytime I wear a new pair of boots with them. I've already taken a handful with my Durango side-zip boots. Then yesterday I wore my Bates police buckle chukka boots to go to the store and get groceries. Naturally, I took a handful of snapshots of those boots with my new jeans. Later on, my sister asked me to pick up a few things for her as well. This time I wore my Danner Rainforest boots, and of course snapped pictures of them as well. That was when my sister noticed my new jeans, and asked where I got them. I may probably get snapshots of many of my other black boots with these jeans as well while they still look and feel new. I definitely want to get pictures of my German knobelbecher jackboots with these jeans. Other boots I'm thinking of getting snapshots of while wearing these jeans are my Danner Acadias, my Justin ropers, my Double H jump boots, my LOX boots, and probably all four pairs of my Harley Davidson boots in future pictures among my many other pairs. I love these new jeans. They're very comfortable, very rugged, and very handsome. I may take pictures of myself wearing boots with my new black jeans as well especially with pairs like my Chippewa firefighters like I did the first time I wore my blue pair. Hopefully soon I'll be able to find some new shirts or sweaters that I can wear as well, and maybe some shorts or sweatpants. Of course, I haven't worn sweatpants since I started wearing blue jeans again back in '98. That was when I also started going crazy finding myself some boots and dress shoes to wear with my jeans. Of course, that fetish will always be around. However I'ts not often that I get crazy over jeans except when a I see a handsome pair of boots or dress shoes being worn with them. For now however, my blue jean craze is happening today.

Tending to Facebook

A lot of my computer activity over this past weekend has been engrossed in my Facebook account. I figured out how to post albums on there, and I've been posting several groups of pictures within the past few days. Also, I've found several game show related groups that I decided to join or become a fan of like Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal, Hollywood Squares, and MAtch Game. I'm tempted to find more groups like this on Facebook as well including ones related to some of my favorite soaps like Guiding Light or As The World Turns, or some of my favorite classic sitcoms like Reba or The Golden Girls. I doubt I'll try to get engrossed into anything boot rrelated on Facebook though because many of my family members are on Facebook as well, and when it comes to them, I try to keep my boot fetish under my hat. Of course, sometimes thse efforts on Facebook have their share of irritations such as the album uploader giving me static, and failing to upload any pictures. At one point, I was only able to upload five pictures at a time. Also, one cousin has wasted no time tagging herself and her sister in some of the pictures in my phoyo albums. I wound up getting 10 e-mail notifications from Facebook when she did that. Otherwise, it doesn't really bother me. I never thought I would be this active on Facebook however. Although the more active I gt into my account, the more I'm tempted to engross myself when it coes to enhancing my profile. The way things are going, there's no telling what else I'll get into on Facebook next.

Brand new boot jeans

Earlier this week, my Dad found a couple of pairs of jeans that were in my size. With my big body, of course, that's not an easy find either. In which case, he brought the two pairs down (a blue pair and a black pair) and hemmed both of them for me. (I only know how to sew by hand.) Anyway, I was starting to get desperate for a few new pairs because just about all of my old pairs of jeans were starting to fall apart. About the only good pair I had left was a pair of dress jeans. I hate wearing that pair because I keep tripping on my pants legs everytime I wear them. I never take boot pictures in those jeans. Anyway, I had to run out to the grocery store last night, so I decided to wear the blue pair for the first time. On this inaugural wearing, I put on my beloved Chippewa firefighters and took a few pictures (naturally). They feel pretty comfortable, and they're very comfortable to sit in as well. In fact, I sat at the computer last night in these jeans for a while. I may try these jeans out with a few other pairs of boots as well like my new Durangos, my Bates police buckle chukka boots, my Danner Rainforests, my Knobelbecher boots, and my Double H jump boots among other pairs. I've even seen a few tips about how to launder and take care of your jeans on the Rachel Ray show. I just may try some of these ideas. Like I said for me, it's not easy finding jeans I can wear, and I'll probably want to hang onto these cool new pairs for quite a while.

Getting it off of my back

"What?" you ask? How about A MOLE? I was at the doctor for a check-up yesterday when my doctor noticed this mole on my back the size of a pea. He decided to go ahead and remove this mole in question, and put a few stitches in my back. I have an appointment next friday to remove those stitches. Anyway, the nurses completely covered the sore spot on my back with gauze, antiseptic and tape to keep the germs out, and I'm supposed to leave that initial mending on for 24 hours. I'm glad I showered yesterday BEFORE I went to the doctor. Anyway, that mole had been on my back for at least 5 years, and it looked like it was ready to be removed. I kept wanting to pick at this mole in question too, and maybe use a push pin to pop it open, or try to squeeze pus out of it. I know with other moles that I had before I could squeeze pus out of it and it would dry up. However this one on my back was really pesky like that proverbial monkey. It's great to know that I won't have to worry about this mole bothering me anymore. Hopefully I will be completely healed after next week.

Bootman's aid

This week on HotBoots BigCub65 asked us to help us with a boot dilemma. He was planning to wear a winter snowsuit to work with his pants legs tucked into his boots. The problem was he wanted to know which pair of boots he should wear. His choices wrre among three pairs of Danner boots (Acadias, Ft. Lewis boots, and Recons with zippers laced into them), a pair of Red Wing firefighter boots wth zippers, and Matterhorn winter-type boots. I immediately piped up and advised him to wear his Danner Acadias. Of course, I'm a little impartial because, I have my own Acadias that I bought off of Hwystud in the summer of 2008 that I'm still rather fond of. Speaking of Hwystud, he suggested the Danner Recons. I believe even Maine Boot Man Rich pipedup with his own opinion about the matterhorns. Lo and behold, BC65 actually took my advice and opted for the Acadias that I suggested. Anyway, I really think the Acadias are great looking boots and not just mine either. I love many of the pictures that Hwystud posts of his Danner Acadia boots. In fact, he and MNCableguy were both my inspiration when I started trying to find a piar of Danner Rainforest boots. In which case, I succeeded with finding my own pair in September 2008. BigCub65 even had a pair of Chippewa Firefighters before Calgary Clay bought his in 2007. How do I know? I saw pictures of BC65 wearing shorts with his Chippewa boots posing with his truck in the HotBoots archives. I'm ecstatic that he actually took my advice even though I'm not very fond of his reasoning because he was "lazy". Oh, well. I'm just glad I could help. I'm prone to giving a lot of boot praise to people like Calgary Clay or somebody else who I think has a pretty hot pair of boots that they're showing off. I'm glad there are at least some people who share my passion for boots. I certainly love the praise I get from my boots, and I love giving praise on others' boots myself from one bootman to another.

Durangos

Last week I got a new pair of Durango side-zip dress boots on ebay. I would've posted pictures of these sooner except my internet wasn't working. I love the polished look of these boots as well as the square toes, and I think they look great with blue jeans. These boots look very much like the side-zip boots that one guy wearing coveralls wore in a couple of pictures I saw in Abootfetish. I thought those poots in the pictures in question looked like Double H desiree boots or Frye campus boots. These boots of mine look much cooler. I've already put some wear on these boots. I wore them when I watched my niece compete in the school spelling bee, and I also wore them when I had to untangle Chloe (my nieces' dog) from a clothesline pole. I've even featured them in a couple of videos that I plan to upload onto YouTube eventually. I can't this morning though because the girls are home from school for Veteran's Day, and I can't tie up my phone line just in case my sister attempts to call them. Maybe I'll upload one of the videos later tonight before I go to bed. Anyway, one video features me doing a ziptease and flexing my toes in these boots like (Shoelover10) Tony likes to watch, and another features me boot-crunching a Halloween goblet with these boots. I may make more videos with these boots too. But anyway, these boots look as cool as those HH Desiree side-zip boots that I had on my most desired list, that I went ahead and took that pair off of that wish list. Hopefully, I'll find more pairs that I've been wanting, and maybe more types of boots will be added to my most desired list. For now, however, these Durangos are a welcome addition to my ever-growing collection of boots.
